Irrespective of the type of testing to be executed (Functionality testing, Regresssion testing or User Acceptance testing), the testing phase of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) consists of 4 distinct components:

SDLC Phase        Testing Component
Requirements        Testing Requirements specification
Design/Coding       Testware design and creation
Testing                  Test management
                              Test execution

Each of these components of the testing phase in a specific testing engagement may be defined as the role/responsibility of either the client or ZenQA. ZenQA in turn may be mandated to conduct the related activities primarily either at the client site or offsite.
